Learn at Home

These programmes are designed so you can learn with your puppy or dog, in your own home, at your own pace.

All of the courses are light-hearted and fun, whilst teaching you real life skills to make your relationship and lives with your canine companions better for both of you. All of the family can join in and get involved in these skills too.

Loose Lead Walking Course

All the skills you need for enjoyable walking together

This course is designed to teach you and your dog all the skills needed for enjoyable walking together. It is split into three modules: The Foundations, Next Steps and Progressions, so you can teach your dog to walk with you, on a loose lead, in any environment as you work your way through the modules.

I would recommend starting with The Foundations for any age dog, but particularly if you have a young or new dog, or you really struggle with loose lead walking, as if you get the foundations right, the rest are much easier! Each Module can be worked through at your own pace, with you sending videos of your progress for feedback and help as you work through the exercises. You also have full support for any questions you might have as you work through the course.

Scent Work

Introduction to Scent Work

This course is six sessions long and teaches you all the basics of introducing your dogs to the sport of scent work, which is using their noses to search for, locate and indicate to you that they have found a specific scent. Brilliant for dogs of any age and ability, it challenges their brains as well as their noses and can be done in a small space too.

You can buy your scent work kit from us for £20 Scent Work Starter Kit, or follow the instructions included to make your own.

Puppy Course

Designed for puppies aged 9-20 weeks of age.

Many of the skills can also be taught to older dogs that have no training history at all, such as street or racing rescues.

The course contains FOUR sessions for you to work through, each session lasting roughly an hour to an hour and a half. For your puppies and novice dogs, we would highly recommend breaking the sessions down into smaller chunks. Each session contains 4-6 skills, so doing one or two skills at a time is a perfect way to do this.

We would encourage you to aim to complete this course within four to eight weeks. This gives you time to practice the skills and submit your videos, whilst ensuring you cover the material while your puppies are still young. It also ensures the previous session is still relatively fresh in your mind to build on and develop further as you and your puppy or rescue dog learn more new skills.

Bronze Course

Designed for dogs over 20 weeks (5 months) of age.

This is a beginner level course, so no previous experience is necessary.

This course contains SIX sessions for you to work through at your own pace, in your own home and each session is roughly an hour to an hour and a half long. Each session contains between 3-5 skills, so you can break the session down into smaller chunks, making it easier to fit in with your own personal schedule.

We teach you and your dogs basic tricks and behaviours as well as general life skills, to ensure you have a great foundation from which to enjoy life together, or continue your training journey if you wish.

We recommend you aim to complete this course between six and 15 weeks or roughly 2-3 months. This gives you time to practice your new skills between sessions and progress them, whilst not leaving so long between sessions that you and your dog forget what you have learnt!

Silver Course

Designed as a follow on from the bronze course or if you have done some basic training with your dogs before.

This course contains SIX sessions for you to work through at your own pace, in your own home and each session is roughly an hour to an hour and a half long.

We will refine and develop you and your dogs training further, as well as adding in more new skills. Each session contains between 3-5 skills, so you can break the session down into smaller chunks, making it easier to fit in with your own personal schedule.

You will learn how to strengthen existing behaviours and use those behaviours in real life situations. We will look more at tailoring the training to your dog in particular and how to work with your dog rather than against them. You will be given the skills to practice in your own time, in a variety of locations, to suit you and your lifestyle.

We recommend you aim to complete this course between six and 15 weeks or roughly 2-3 months. This gives you time to practice your new skills between sessions and progress them, whilst not leaving so long between sessions that you and your dog forget what you have learnt!

We will look to work your dogs with distractions and distances involved and learn how to improve those behaviours in such situations. For dogs that have completed the Gold Course

This course contains SIX sessions for you to work through at your own pace, in your own home and each session is roughly an hour to an hour and a half long.

This course places much more responsibility on you as an owner, to work out the best way to develop your own dogs’ skills. We will simply guide you through how to do this. You will consider how your dog learns, what are their strongest motivators and how we can use real life as a reward for many behaviours. We will look at more learning theory and you will apply that to your dogs and your lives and really work on having an incredibly strong relationship between you, so you are working as a team together.

Each session contains between 4-6 skills, so you can break the session down into smaller chunks, making it easier to fit in with your own personal schedule.
